I’m a software engineer, ten years in. I worked on carbon-market and remote-sensing products at a climate-tech company in Shillong, where the job is more about product engineering than writing code. Carbon methodology is unforgiving, and most of the difficulty sits upstream of the implementation. Previously I worked on payments compliance at PayPal, CRM at Kapture, and real-time chat infrastructure and wearable devices at Fittr, where I spent a long time getting the chat infrastructure to 100K users. My stack is mostly Java/Spring, TypeScript/NestJS, and Erlang/OTP. Lately I’ve been reading my way into formal methods: TLA+, property-based testing, Petri nets. I’m nowhere near an expert at any of it, but I want to be, and some of what I write here will be me working that out in the open. Most posts are about production issues and the experience of working backwards from there: distributed systems, messaging stacks, authorization models, and how they behave once real traffic hits them. I also write about engineering culture, and now and then about music, hardware tinkering, and other topics. That’s just my own experience, so take it as such.
